Mission Statement

Pilgrim Theatre is dedicated to research into the meaning and methods of theatre practice, to collaboration with artists of all disciplines and cultures, and to the creation of challenging, innovative performances for the diverse audiences of the world.

The artists of Pilgrim Theatre are committed to the meaningful process of creative development, in order to generate innovative performances which address issues of our time, and which both challenge and enrich our audiences. Thus our company is dedicated to research (central to its artistic endeavor), which consists of ongoing training led by Core Artists and international master teachers; and periods of intensive rehearsal. Performances, workshops, and artistic exchange contribute to an ongoing dialogue with our collaborators, among whom we number our audience. Our upcoming season addresses each of these areas.
