Perla Logarzo’s performance is a raw and intimate examination of the life of a
woman artist in Argentina, “who realizes that for a miracle to take place, a
moon and a stage are enough, and that she can give birth to herself after being
condemned to love.” Logarzo performs in Europe and the U.S. as well as at
home in Argentina.
The Living Room

Chimaera Physical Theater’s Molly Maxner and Kelly Parsley passionately dance
the course of a life in The Living Room,
which was created as part of the first artistic collaboration between
U.S. artists and an Islamic state dance company.
The Living Room, which confronts an archetypal relationship, was
created and originally performed in Turkey, and then in New York at the Kennedy
Center, and across the U.S.

Murga master Alejandro Balbis of Uruguay will offer a three-day
workshop, Murga!, in that style of music which is
most recognizable as the pulse of Carnival. It is open to all levels.
Body & Sold: Part One
Original theatre work by Deborah Lake Fortson and multicultural Tempest
Productions, with an exhibit by artist Myrna Balk, and post-show discussion
Wed-Thurs, May 7-8, 2003 at 8 pm
Deborah Lake Fortson’s research on the sex trafficking industry in India
and Nepal, is at the heart of Body & Sold: Part One
. Based on interviews with survivors, this event will also feature an
exhibit by artist and social worker, Myrna Balk, and a post-show discussion.
The Skriker, by Caryl Churchill
Serious Play! Theatre Ensemble, dir. by Sheryl Stoodley

In The Skriker, “...These women link the
perceptual landscape of the audience with the inner focus of the
performer.” Serious Play! is a tremendously physical theatre, whose
ground-breaking work with adolescent actors is based on intensive training from
traditions such as Grotowski, Suzuki, Linklater, and Bogart.
